About the Streamyx Offer

Hey,

I'm back again after some time. This time explaining more on this Streamyx CoolUniPack which is not as cool as it sounds to many.

1st of all, make sure you're in a public uni or in a selected private uni, preferably in 1st or 2nd year of study (i'm not so sure as to which private unis are the selected few).
  1. Go to any TM Point, and ask for the CoolUniPack subscription/application form.
  2. Go back to your uni with those forms, get approval from HEP or faculty office stamped on the form.
  3. This is for private uni's, get also an approval letter from the HEP stating this student is so and so, student in this uni, and in his/her 1st or 2nd year of study. (I'm not sure how to obtain it but i think you need this for application by students in private uni's - ask the TM Point guy again if you need this)
  4. After all is done, get a photocopy of your identity card and student card. If the telephone line is not under your name, you will need a photocopy of the owner's identity card also.
  5. Submit the completed form and wait for your Streamyx to come.
  6. Within 14 days from your Streamyx installation, the netbook will reach you.
That's the step to apply for CoolUniPack. But please be aware that if you currently have a Streamyx connection but is not under the applying student's name, there are a couple of options for you as the Streamyx line need to be under the student's name:-
  • Terminate the existing Streamyx but not the telephone line, wait for 30 days cooling off period. May be faster if you keep rushing them 24/7. Then install the CoolUniPack on the existing line.
  • Terminate both existing Streamyx and telephone line. No need to wait for the cooling off period as there is nothing to cool off. Install a new telephone line. Then install the CoolUniPack on the new phone line.
  • Apply for the CoolUniPack and a new telephone line. Wait for the new phone line to come in and then the CoolUniPack. Then terminate the old Streamyx and telephone line or just the Streamyx if you want to keep the phone number.
I might miss out something in this post here as it had already been months since my application. If any of you have questions to ask. Do not hesitate to post comments here or just buzz me on my Facebook or MSN or GTalk or just e-mail me.

I'm back again

Woohoo...

It has been a very long time since i last updated my blog. Was too preoccupied with too many issues and problems that are really very challenging. But now i'm back again... for the time being.

Went to PD last week, some photos can be viewed from my facebook album. I'm still waiting for all the photos during the PD outing session. It was a very fun one. It has also been a very long time since i last went for a trip. My last trip before this was... to... errr... i'm not actually sure myself.

Another thing is... i've got myself a free netbook through the application of cool uni pack. it is a package well worth getting from streamyx. You get a reduce rate and a free netbook, what else can be better than that? but the sad thing is, it really took me a lot of time and effort to get the package done. At 1st it took me extremely long to get the streamyx installed and then after even the netbook got a lil problem. The 1st netbook came, used it for 3 days and it just die out on me. Luckily HP got thing like 14 days satisfaction period, and i ask for a replacement unit instead of a repair. The 2nd unit is still working fine up till now and hopefully will stay so for a long long time.

Will be sharing more with all of you guys later on.

Oracle??!!

Hi...

Recently got myself busy with Oracle Database Administrator Course (OCA). Kinda pushing people to the limit as you'd be facing computers and papers from 9am in the morning to 5pm in the evening. Just like working... it spans from monday to friday and will be lasting for 4 weeks.

The 1st week had passed and the 1st part of the certification is already completed too. Passed with flying colours. Not actually flying colours but then passed. Entering the 2nd part of the test today. I couldn't understand shyt. Gotta pour in double the effort now to get the certificate.

Wish me luck~

Saturday n' Sunday gone coo coo~

Hey yo,

The previous weekend had been tiring and really testing my limit. Got workshop on both days from 9am to 5pm but I did not manage to attend the Sunday workshop which is the merrier one due to an inevitable circumstance. So... let me start off with my Saturday.

At that Saturday, I had to waste my sleep time and woke like my usual study time at 7am so that I could be at UM by 9am. Got myself prepared and got there quick. Never expected the traffic to be so smooth, got there in approx. 20 minutes. The day started with the same thing as the last leadership workshop, some lessons and nice teaching about the type of leadership, the qualities and the abilities of one. Got ourselves separated into groups and mixed up. It was funny how all of them push the leadership position to me. Obviously I rejected the proposal because the workshop belongs to them, they should grab this opportunity to learn everything they can. To me, being a leader is a great chance to learn a whole lot things at a different level where you can never learn usually. But still me, Pei Ling and Soo Mei tried our best to guide them through and through. Oh... by the way, they appointed me as the cheerleader, I guessed that's what you get when you be too loud.

After the Saturday workshop, I chatted a little with the 3W bunch and I got myself prepared for my futsal session later that day (7pm-9pm). That day wasn't a particularly pleasant game as I was so disappointed with the play shown by my team mates. Being selfish and not thinking for the better of the team. I was so frustrated that I started shooting whenever I got the ball wherever on the court. After the game, got ourselves to Steven's Corner to grab my dinner. Ordered Nasi Goreng Biasa topped with Sup Kambing. The Sup Kambing was spicy but delicious. After the drink + eat session, watch some football and then went home to prepare for the next day.

Unfortunately on Sunday, I woke with a bad tummy ache. I think I'll thank Sup Kambing for the unbearable tummy ache. Couldn't even get myself some time away from my bed or the toilet bowl. Took some pills to decrease the pain and went back to bed for rest. Until at about 11am, I was awoken by my mother, she told me that some of my friends (Lum, Han Jim and Yu Kiat) were already here to pick me up for a friend's (Lai's) convocation. Get myself dressed and went with them to One World Hotel. For about an hour photo session. After that session, we went to Piccadilly for lunch. I ordered Mushroom Bruschetta and Hot Chocolate, the bruschetta was nice. After the lunch, just went home and continue my rest. Totally skipping the Sunday session of the workshop.

Though I skipped the workshop on Sunday, my whole body was tired from what I've been taking for Saturday and Sunday. Now, I'll need to refrain myself from eating spicy stuffs for awhile until I got my stomach back to it's working condition.

Pray for my fast recovery.

Fryday Fried~

Hi,

Today was suppose to be packed but... I woke late and skipped the DHL talk directly. Haha... but then again I have other stuffs to complete.

Went Post Office to pay some bills and then went TM point to enquire about the superb deal, Cool Uni Pack. It's really a good deal for uni students but there's a hidden cue here. For 1st year and 2nd year Uni and college students only. And if you're a current Streamyx user but the account is not under the student's name, then you will need to unsubscribe and re-register it with your name. The free netbook really got my mouth watering but then again, it's too much of a hassle for me. There's a one month cooling period when terminating. I can't imagine my 1 month without Internet connection. Even when I'm watching TV now, I would search for the strange stuffs I heard on the TV. Internet, TV and games... hard to live without them. Might abandon the idea and opt for Grad Pack (slightly similar to Cool Uni Pack w/o the FREE netbook) or BlockBuster Deal.

After the disappointment, went home, rest for awhile then went to pick up my sister. Then went to RHB to get some money to pay for car loan. Paid my car loan and went home... then blog about this and prepare myself for tomorrow... Hope I won't overslept and be late again... hopefully not. My Saturday would be one of my most jam packed day, 9am to 5pm workshop then 7pm to 9pm Futsal. How will i have the endurance to survive on Sunday.

Pray for my well being.

Action Packed Week~

Hi,

This week is the most activity packed week throughout the semester so far. Have my classes like usual from Monday to Thursday. Then the office announces that we'll have to attend a talk given by DHL concerning career opportunities there, I assume. But I've heard they're cutting down the IT department, so why are we still being dragged into this shit? Plus, me and my friends had already completed our internship and it's a long 1 year before we'll be eligible for full time work. We would like to spend our time thinking about how to complete our studies before looking into working.

How about weekend? Occupied by workshops... yeap both day, 9am to 5pm and yes.... it's like working hours. The workshop is about Leadership skills and team building by Dr G. It was fun last year as it was organized by my group. Though, ours was just 2 hours session. 2 days plus working hours.... it's a little too extreme for me. Hope I could last half a session. And I still have my futsal session at 7pm - 9pm after the Saturday workshop. Sleep all the way in Sunday workshop... weeeee hooooo~

Let me know what you all think about it?

Wow~

Yo,

It's been a really long time. Busy having fun to even update my blog... here goes a short post to keep this place going awhile.

New Year had passed by, CNY is at the very end of it's celebration, how has everyone been?

For me... I got myself hooked up to my old hobby, building up Gundam models. Latest addition to my Gundam family are GN Nadleeh and Susanowo. Some of you may be puzzled by the crazy names these gundams have but never mind that. Let me show you some pictures of the complete models
The one above is GN Nadleeh waiting for colouring.

This pinkish guy is Susanowo.

So... anyone wanted to support the Wai Chor Gundam Fund? You can contact me through my email and msn for further enquiries.

The CNY holiday week had passed by so quickly, hardly felt the lasting of it. Wished it would be longer but then again, we might be asking for more. Don't care about us asking for more... 1 week is just too short.

The study week has started again, find myself lazing around due to some health problem. Not feeling comfortable this whole week... weak and uncomfortable. I wonder what was wrong.

Oh yeah.... i also got my haircut. Now it's so freaking short, not so used to it. Need some time to adapt to this short hair style but i guess i look better this way.

I think i should end crapping now... sorry guys for the late post.
